Forum 1: Land Management, Agriculture and Forestry
The first of the public forums for the Garnaut Climate Change Review was held on 17 August 2007 in Melbourne. It focused on the implications that climate change will have for agriculture, forestry and land management. The forum also examined how different agriculture sectors would be affected by climate change, how management of soil, fertilisers or livestock could help to tackle climate change, and whether agriculture and forestry could be part of an emissions trading scheme.
This forum has now concluded. Slides from the various presenters are available on this page.
The Garnaut Review Secretariat invited interested parties to make submissions in response to the issues raised in this paper. All submissions have been made available on the Review website. Click here to view submissions.
